This can only be achieved by running programs, leveraging partnerships, and investing in research. For over five years Spacecubed has been supporting the startup community through programs like Intensify Scholarship and Surge. We have been promoting research and advocacy in the startup sector through Start Up WA and partner in the Social Impact Festival, run by the Centre for Social Impact (UWA).

For 3 years now, Spacecubed has held a free bi-annual event called Perth{Web}Girls to encourage female participants to learn how to code with no experience necessary. Our March event hosted at FLUX received registrations reaching over capacity, and last weekend, for the first time, a spin-off event was launched.

BHP hosted a Perth{Web}Girls event, exclusively for BHP staff and their families, to teach women in the BHP community coding and tech skills. The event was hosted at BHP on the stunning Level 45, with views over the CBD and river, making it a spectacular backdrop for what was unfolding inside.
