I’ve always loved business and wanted to be smack bang in the middle of it. I achieved that from working for some of the biggest companies in Australia and the UK, but having grown up in a successful family business I have always had am ambition to build and develop my own business. One of my success criteria is getting to a point where I have to employ someone – at that point I am responsible for not only my family, but the family of someone else. That excites and scares me at the same time.
My experience and background is eclectic, but I’ve learnt to make my skills transferrable and relevant. I’ve worked closely with hard core geeks, sparkies, crusty old farmers through to lawyers and investment bankers. Each requires a certain subtlety and communication style, and that was the challenge. Regardless of who you are, I’m intrigued to know what makes you tick.
I’m inspired by clever people and want to find a way to be involved as this will push and test me to be better than I possibly thought I could be.
